Kathmandu – Five Nepali players have been included in the Big Bash League 2023/24 draft list.

Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, batter Dev Khanal, wicketkeeper Arjun Saud, opener Aasif Sheikh and batter Aarif SHeikh are the five names on the list from Nepal.
Big Bash League is the franchise T20 cricket league organized by Cricket Australia and is regarded as one of the best tournaments in the world.
Sandeep is the only name in the list to have previously played in the league. He played for Hobart Hurricanes in the previous season who can also retain him. Sandeep has also represented Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League after being signed in 2018. The other four names will have to go through the draft process.
Aarif, Aasif and Dev have been included in the draft list in any foreign league for the first time. Arjun was in the list and remained unsold in England’s The Hundred earlier this year.
The new season of Big Bash will commence from December 7.
