Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Tiptop Help Nepal Sports Club and Everest Volleyball Club have won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, in the eighth RBB NVA Women’s / Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Help Nepal defeated Tribhuwan Army Club 3-2 at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall in a very competitive outing to win their second successive title. Help Nepal, who had integrated three Pakistani players into their side, defeated Army 20-25, 27-25, 23-25, 29-27 and 22-20 in what was one of the best-ever tournament finals.
Nepal Police Club defeated Gandaki Province 25-15, 25-20 and 29-27 in the third-place matchup to finish third in the tournament.
In the women’s division, Everest defeated Nepal Police Club 3-1 in the final to take home the title. Everest equipped with three Indian players managed to take home the title. Everest defeated Police 19-25, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-19 to win the tournament for the first time. This is also their first-ever national-level title.
Everest and Police, along with New Diamond, Nepal APF Club, Tribhuwan Army Club and Karnali Province have qualified for the league that will be held next year. In the men’s division, Help Nepal, APF, Police, Army, Koshi Province, Sudurpaschim Province, Budhanilkantha Volleyball Club and Gandaki Province will contest the league.
13 men’s and seven women’s teams competed in the tournament this time.
