Arsenal vs Slavia Prague : Preview

It’s do or die situation for Arsenal in this cup competition as they are out of other competition and are unlikely to finish in top 4 of the league. Arsenal escaped a narrow 3-2 win in the last-16 and aren’t in that good form recently.

Arsenal will play this match on back of a 3-0 loss against Liverpool at Emirates. Also, they can’t expect a peaceful night against the Czech champions, particularly after going 13 games without a clean sheet in all competitions.

Despite their poor Premier League form, the Europa League is now the Gunners’ best hope for another season on the continent. Meanwhile, SL Prague beat Rangers in their last-16 tie. But the match was more talked about racism than football.

Jindrich Trpisovsky’s team has gone 21 games without losing in all tournaments and hasn’t lost since the beginning of the year. Last time these both sides met each other was in a Champions League tie in group stage. Arsenal scored 7 past them.

Arsenal’s injury list is getting bigger as Kieran Tierney is the new member to join hospital. David Luiz underwent a small surgery so he will be out too. Martin Odegaard is also said to be experiencing problem in his ankle so he is a doubt too.

Meanwhile SL Prague are also facing defensive problems with Simon Deli and David Hovorka both unavailable. Both of these are starting XI centre backs. Meanwhile main goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar is also out with a sinus fracture.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Cedric; Partey, Elneny; Saka, Odegaard, Pepe; Lacazette

Slavia Prague possible starting lineup: Vagner; Bah, Zima, Hromada, Boril; Holes, Sevcik; Sima, Stanciu, Olayinka; Kuchta
