Chelsea beat Porto

Chelsea scored twice to win against Porto FC in the quarter final of UEFA Champions League and are now a step closer to semi-finals. Thanks to goals from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell, Chelsea have two important away goals.

Mason Mount put Chelsea ahead with a brilliant goal. A fine pass from Jorginho was collected by Mount who put it past Marchesin in the far corner. Porto put pressure onto Chelsea but couldn’t find the net. They were close to finding a goal when Pepe was beaten away by Mendy.

After the break, the hosts had more chances. Moussa Marega’s effort halted by Edouard Mendy’s pace off his line, but it was the Blues who looked the most dangerous. César Azpilicueta’s close-range header went wide of the target.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulii’s thunderous shot slammed into the crossbar. Ben Chilwell caught Jess Corona in possession and rounded Marchesn to slot into an open net.

Second leg of the tie will be played at the same venue at Seville, Spain.
