Pokhara – Jayarani Tharu of Tribhuvan Army Club clinches gold medal in 400-meter hurdles setting a new national record at Pokhara Rangashala.
Jayarani broke her own record to set a new national record by completing the distance in 1 minute 04:13 seconds (hand timing). She kept a national record of 1 minute 07.2 seconds in Kathmandu in June.
Likewise, APF’s Bhagarathi Kumari Tharu won the silver clocking 1 minute 06.06 seconds and APF’s Kalpana Shrestha bagged the bronze with 1 minute 06.51 seconds.
