Kathmandu – Departmental side APF Football Club stunned FC Khumaltar 2-0 in an ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League at the ANFA Complex on Monday.
The match was a thrilling encounter from start to finish, with both teams creating chances and trying to outdo each other. However, it was APF who emerged as the better side on the day, displaying a solid defensive performance and clinical finishing.
Abdou Ramani Poutougningni and Armand Beadoum found the back of the net once to secure APF’s fifth win in the league. Abdou opened the account for APF in the 26th minute before Armand doubled their lead in the 70th minute.
The win helped APF move up to the fifth position in the points table with 17 points, while Khumaltar remained constant in the 11th position with 13 points.
