Church Boys tastes defeat

Kathmandu – Church Boys United Football Club tasted a defeat in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League, coming in their 11th match. The newcomers’ Church Boys lost 1-0 to table toppers Jawalakhel Youth Club at Dasarath Stadium on Saturday.

Despite their numerous attempts, both Church Boys and Jawalakhel were unable to score till the 66th minute. However, Jawalakhel managed to open their account in the 66th minute through Nkoto Synous Masoabi. Nkoto skillfully maneuvered the ball from his own half, beating two defenders, and then fired it towards the goalpost. The Church Boys’ goalkeeper, Yves Priso, was unable to make the crucial save, resulting in a goal for Jawalakhel.

With this win, Jawalakhel maintained their top spot in the league with 23 points, having won 7, drawn 2, and lost 2 matches. Church Boys, on the other hand, are in second place with 18 points.
