6th round of League begins with Sankata and APF emerging victorious

Kathmandu – Nepal APF Club and Sankata Club emerged victorious in their respective matches, kicking off the 6th round of Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League.

Sankata Club secured a narrow 1-0 win over FC Khumaltar in a match played at ANFA Complex, with Junior Onguene scoring the winning goal in the 27th minute for Salyan Khadgi’s side.

Meanwhile, at Chyasal Stadium, Nepal APF Club defeated Nepal Police Club 2-0 in a departmental derby.

The first half was goalless, but Hari Karki broke the deadlock for APF in the 57th minute.

In the 5th minute of injury time, Sabin Gurung scored for APF, sealing the win and leaving no chance for the Police to make a comeback.

With this victory, Nepal APF Club moved up to the 5th spot in the points table, while Sankata Club remained one step below in 6th place.
