Kathmandu – Nepal National Women’s Football Team Head Coach Ananta Raj Thapa confirmed his squad for the Asian Qualifiers (First Round) of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 on Friday.
Following the withdrawal of Palestine and Afghanistan, Nepal will now host only Vietnam in the two qualifier matches in the Dasarath Stadium on April 5 and 8.
While prominent defender Gita Rana will miss the qualifiers due to the injury she sustained during the friendlies against India, Puja Rana marked her comeback to the squad recovering from the injury. Likewise, defender Srijana Chemjong earned her maiden spot in the national team.
The 22-membered squad will be led by custodian Anijila Tumbapo Subba.
