Kathmandu – Nepal’s table tennis team will be heading to the Maldives on Sunday to participate in the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship to be held in Male from May 10 to 12.
The team led by All Nepal Table Tennis Association’s Vice President Dharma Man Bajracharya has eight players. Those competing in the event include Sanyog Kapali, Rubin Maharjan, Sujan Gadal, Evana Thapa Magar, Bianca Rai, Subashree Shrestha, Prince Thapa and Ujjwal Manandhar.
Match commissioner Tejendra Mahara and Coach Mohan Das Basukala will also be accompanying the players.
All Nepal Table Tennis Association’s President Chaturananda Raj Baidhya will be attending the meeting of South Asian Table Tennis Association on the sidelines of the championship.
Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha bade farewell to the team amid a function on Thursday.
