Kathmandu – The women’s volleyball team of Nepal Police Club registered their third straight victory during the Sixth RBB NVA National Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Club League on Thursday. The men’s team of Police Club lost their match at the National Sports Council’s covered hall.
The women’s team of Police defeated New Diamond Sports Club in straight sets of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-15. New Diamond were without their star player Pratibha Mali who is in an injury layoff.
With the victory, Police have collected 9 points from 3 matches. On the other hand, New Diamond have 1 point from 3 games. Meanwhile, another departmental team APF saw off Everest Volleyball Club 25-13, 25-10, 19-25 and 25-19. APF have 6 points from 3 matches while Everest have scored 3 points from equal number of matches.
In the men’s section, Galkot Sports Club and Tip Top Help Nepal Sports Club won their respective matches on Thursday. Galkot defeated Dhorpatan Sports Club 3-2 to collect 2 points. Dhorpatan have just 1 point so far.
In another match, Tip Top defeated Police in straight sets to secure all 3 points. They have collected 11 points so far in the league.
The league will conclude on May 8.
