Kathmandu – Deepak Raj Singh Thakuri scored in injury time to help Satdobato Youth Club secure their third consecutive victory in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League.
With Deepak’s goal in the 90+3rd minute, Satdobato defeated Friends Club 1-0 at Dashrath Stadium.
Niraj, who substituted Sardorbek Matmuratov in the 46th minute, provided a beautiful pass to Deepak inside the box, who then beat Friends’ defender Prem Bhandari and goalkeeper Raja Babu Thapa and placed the ball into the back of the net.
With their third win in a row, Satdobato has earned 9 points from 3 matches, equalizing the top-ranked Church Boys United Football Club.
In the earlier match of the day, Nepal APF Football Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club both failed to score, resulting in both teams sharing the spoils.
The game started at a high tempo, with both teams looking to dominate from the outset. APF was the better side in the first half, creating several opportunities to take the lead, but the Jawalakhel’s defense stood firm, and goalkeeper Anish Deula made several important saves.
The second half saw the first red card of the league. APF was down to 10 men following the dismissal of Adama Doumbia. Doumbia received a red card in the 69th minute after a heated argument with match referee Prajjwal Chhettri and assistant referee Kishan Kanaiya Yadav.
