Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) – Nepal international Sabitra Bhandari ‘Samba’ made her debut in the French top division. Samba came on in the 75th minute of the 1-1 draw against Bordeaux to make her debut for En Avant Guingamp in the French top division.
Guingamp secured a 1-1 draw against Bordeaux after losing the lead in the first half. Antoine Starova gave Guingamp an early advantage in the eighth minute, but Laura Bourgoin leveled the score in the 36th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area.
Samba, who had been warming up since the beginning of the second half, finally entered the game in the 75th minute. Despite not scoring, she actively participated in the midfield, engaging in some passing exchanges.
Samba was officially introduced as a Guingamp player, having signed the contract just the day before. Despite spending most of the game on the bench, she came on towards the end.
Following this draw, Guingamp, currently in eighth place, have nine points from 13 games, with 2 wins, 3 draws, and 8 losses. On the other hand, Bordeaux, positioned at the bottom, have accumulated 6 points in 13 games.
Guingamp will Fleury in the league on Saturday, followed by a clash against Paris Saint-Germain on February 17.
