Real Madrid welcome Real Betis as they look to make it back-to-back wins in La Liga.
Real Madrid will play this match on back of a 3-0-win vs Cadiz midweek. The match also meant Real Madrid are now top of the La Liga after a disastrous start of the season Karim Benzema scored a brace in a good effort for the reigning champions.
Atletico Madrid can go top of the league if they win at Huesca midweek but if Real continue to win tonight, they will be level on points separated by GD. Los Blancos must just keep winning to see where they end up as the season progresses. They will also be focused on the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Chelsea next week.
Real Betis meanwhile are looking to make it to the top 5. They are fifth with 49 points levelled with 6th placed Villareal. Since the start of February, Pellegrini’s team has only lost once in La Liga, but they have now drawn four consecutive games. This included a 0-0 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday evening. Betis have 14 wins, seven draws and 11 defeats from 32 matches this season.
Madrid will again be without the services of Lucas Vazquez, Ferland Mendy and Sergio Ramos through injury, while Federico Valverde is absent as he recovers from coronavirus. As for Betis, Nabil Fekir will be unavailable due to the red card that he picked up against Athletic. There are no other injury concerns.
