Rai and Dangol added to the coaching staff

Kathmandu – The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Yugal Kishor Rai as an assistant coach and Binod Dangol as a goalkeeping coach of the Nepal National Men’s Senior team for the friendly match against Bangladesh.

ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah confirmed the appointment of Rai and Dangol.

Rai was the head coach of Himalayan Sherpa Club in the latest edition of Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Divison League. Former Nepal National team forward Rai led Dhangadi FC to the finals of the first edition of Nepal Super League (NSL) held last year.

Likewise, former Goalkeeper of Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Binod Dangol worked as goalkeeping coach for MMC in the latest edition of Nepal’s top-tier league.

The second ANFA Executive Committee meeting held on August 11 has decided to appoint Pradip Humagain as the interim head coach of the National team. Humagain, who resides in the United States of America (USA) will arrive in Nepal this week. He had called up 40 players including young and senior players who were left out by Abdullah Almutairi. However, the official date of the commencement of training is yet to be announced.
