Kathmandu – President Bidya Devi Bhandari has congratulated the national women’s volleyball team of Nepal on winning the title of AVC Central Zone Volleyball Championship in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The team clinched the title by beating Uzbekistan in the final held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh on Tuesday.
The president Tweeted: “Heartfelt congratulation to the Nepali women’s volleyball team for clinching the title of AVC Central Zone Volleyball Championship for the second consecutive time,” The head-of-the-state also wished for the continuous success of the team in the future.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Sports Minister Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj had also congratulated the team for success at the international level. Nepal had won the title remaining unbeaten in the entire championship.
