Kathmandu – The 11th edition of the NSA Cup Swimming Competition is all set to commence on Sunday, as announced by the Nepal Swimming Association (NSA) amidst a press conference on Thursday.

The two-day competition will start on Sunday and conclude on Monday, as revealed by the NSA where A total of 260 swimmers, including 170 males and 90 females, will participate in the event.
The competition will feature 28 gold medal events in the open category and 36 gold medal events in the age group category.
The NSA further stated that the competition will serve as the final selection for two male and two female swimmers, along with one male and one female alternate, who will represent Nepal in the 19th Asian Games swimming competition scheduled to take place from September 23 to October 7, 2023, in Hangzhou, China.
To boost the players’ morale, the association will reward the best male and female swimmers in the open category with a cash prize of NRs. 10,000 each. Additionally, a cash prize of NRs. 3,000 will be provided to the winners in all age groups.
A total of 36 schools from Biratnagar, Birganj, Nepalganj, and surrounding areas will participate in the competition. The association also announced that the team champion trophy will be awarded to the top three schools based on their performance in the age group events.
