Nepal falls in T20I ranking

Agency – Nepal’s position has decreased in the new T20I rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). With the decline in the T20I ranking, Nepal is unlikely to compete directly in the T20 World Cup scheduled in 2024 in the West Indies and America.

Nepal falls by one step and reaches the 14th position. Ireland left Nepal behind and jumped to the 13th. After Nepal, Namibia and Scotland are at the 15th and 16th positions. While Oman is ranked 17th, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, and Canada are ranked 18th, 19th, and 20th respectively.

India remains at the top in the rankings. England stands a step below India. Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are ranked orderly in the top 10.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s ranking remains unchanged at 19th position in ODI.
