Nepal Faces Second Consecutive Loss

Kathmandu – The Nepal Men’s Volleyball Team suffered another defeat in the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Nations League 2023. Following their 3-1 loss to Mongolia in the opening match on Sunday, Nepal fell to host country Kyrgyzstan with a set score of 3-1 on Monday.

Nepal began the game strongly, showing a promising performance in the first set. However, they couldn’t maintain their momentum and lost with a close score of 24-26. Despite this setback, Nepal managed to bounce back and secure a victory in the second set with a score of 25-21.

Unfortunately, Kyrgyzstan dominated the next two sets, overpowering Nepal. The hosts comfortably won the third set with a score of 25-18 and then crushed Nepal 25-16 in the fourth set, sealing their victory.

With two consecutive defeats, Nepal is yet to earn any points in the tournament. On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan has accumulated 6 points by winning both of their matches.

Next, Nepal is scheduled to face Iran on Tuesday, followed by a match against Turkmenistan on Thursday.
