With this victory, Nepal finished with the same score of 7 points as Bhutan, but Nepal won the group thanks to a better goal difference.

The semi-finals will take place on Sunday, with the first match between Bangladesh and Bhutan at 1:30 PM, followed by the second semi-final featuring Nepal and India at 6:30 PM.

Nepal quickly established control by scoring 4 goals in the first half, and they added a fifth goal shortly after halftime. Although they had several chances to extend their lead, they couldn’t score again until injury time when Rashmi headed in a goal to seal the 6-0 victory.

Nepal took an early lead in the 8th minute with Sabita’s goal, converting a cutback from Samba inside the penalty area. Samba then scored a fantastic 25-yard goal in the 11th minute, showcasing her excellent shooting prowess.

In the 13th minute, Rekha scored with a first-touch finish from Amisha Karki’s cross, making it 3-0 for Nepal. They increased their lead to 4-0 in the 37th minute when Samba’s shot from outside the box was slightly redirected into the goal.

After scoring their fifth goal at the start of the second half, with Amisha converting Savita’s cross, Nepal pressed hard for more goals. However, a strong defensive play by Kospla Perera denied them a sixth goal when she cleared Samba’s shot off the goal line.

Rashmi solidified Nepal’s win in the second minute of injury time, heading in a goal from Anita Basnet’s corner kick.
