Nepal and India placed in the same group for CAVA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup

Kathmandu – Nepal and India will face each other once again, this time in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup.

Hosted by Nepal, the tournament will take place from the 20th of May to the 30 at the NSC Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, featuring eight teams from Central Asia.

Nepal and India find themselves in Group ‘A’, alongside Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, Group ‘B’ includes Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Kazakhstan.

Jan De Brandt, the newly appointed head coach, is currently training the 21-member preliminary squad of Nepal for the tournament.

Nepal will face India after four years after their last encounter in the finals of the 13th South Asian Games, where Nepal lost in a set of 3-2 India.

Despite this, Nepal has a successful record, having won the title of AVC Central Zone twice. With strong teams like India, Sri Lanka, and Kazakhstan participating, the tournament promises to be exciting. HamroKhelkud’s YouTube channel will live broadcast the matches live.
