Kathmandu – Lumbini All Stars bagged the maiden Nepal T20 League title, defeating Biratnagar Super Kings by 24 runs.

Lumbini All Stars’ Inning
Beginning with the bat, Lumbini lost all its wickets in 19.2 overs with 133 runs on the scoreboard. Even though the All Stars had a good start to the final, they failed to keep on the momentum.
Openers duo Harmeet Singh and Lahiru Milantha shared a 64 runs partnership for the fall of the first wicket. Harmeet Singh contributed 30 runs off 18 deliveries including 3 fours and 2 sixers before getting caught by Rohit Paudel off Keon Joseph’s delivery. Kushal Bhurtel then stepped in to collect 1 run off 3 deliveries.
Striking 3 boundaries each, Lahiru collected the highest of 41 runs off 28 balls for the champions. Dipendra Singh Airee (20) and Ishan Pandey (18) were the other batsmen to score in double figures.
Bipul Sharma (5), Gulsan Jha (3), Shadley van Schalkwyk (1), Anil Sah (8), and Kishore Mahato departed from the pitch for 2. Sagar Dhakal remained not out for 0.
While Nandan Yadav and Raj Nannan of Super Kings picked up 2 wickets, Hussain Talat, Keon Joseph, Surya Tamang, and Rohit Paudel claimed 1 each.
Biratnagar Super Kings’ Inning
Later, Lumbini All Stars defended the winning target of 134 runs to clinch the title of the Nepal T20 League. Super Kings, who were edgy since the beginning of the inning scored 109/8 in the allocated 20 overs.
While skipper Rohit Paudel departed following a golden duck, Arjun Saud collected the highest run of 34 off 40 balls for the losing side. Prithu Baskota contributed the second-highest of 31 runs off 29 deliveries with 2 fours and 1 sixer.
Gauranshu Sharma (4), Hussain Talat (13), Raj Nannan Rocky (6), Bibek Yadav (6), and Amar Singh Routela contributed 8 runs. Nandan Yadav and Keon Joseph remained unbeaten for 3 and 2 runs respectively.
All Stars’ spinners Harmeet Singh and Sagar Dhakal claimed 2 wickets each. Similarly, Bipul Sharma and Kishore Mahato took apiece.
The champions Lumbini All Stars bagged NRs. 5.5 million whereas runners-up Biratnagar Super Kings received NRs. 3.5 million.
Individual Awards
Hashmatullah Shahidi of Far West United was adjudged the Best Batter of the tournament. Although Far West failed to advance to the playoffs, Hashmatullah had collected the utmost of 400 runs, including 4 half-centuries.
Similarly, Abinash Bohara of Kathmandu Knights clinched the Best Bowler award. Abinash featured in 11 outings with Kathmandu and took 19 wickets bowling 37.5 overs.
Both the best bowler and batter were rewarded with NRs. 2.5 Lakhs each.
Biratnagar Super Kings’ allrounder Hussain Talat became the Player of the series. He pursed NRs. 5 lakhs. Furthermore, Surya Tamang was named the Emerging player of the tournament. He earned NRs. 8 Lakhs.
