Nepali National Team midfielder Anjan Bista has signed for Jhapa FC for the upcoming second edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL).
Even before the rescheduled start date of the second NSL edition, Jhapa FC had already made the announcement regarding Anjan as a marquee player. In the inaugural edition, Anjan was not only the marquee player but also the captain of Lalitpur City FC.
In the first season of NSL, Anjan netted three goals and earned the Best Forward award. He is a crucial asset to the national football team, having scored an impressive total of 12 goals for Nepal.
The second edition of the Nepal Super League is set to kick off on November 24 in Kathmandu. This season features a total of nine teams, including six from the previous edition and three new additions, with Biratnagar opting not to participate.
Ashish Chaudhary, Arik Bista, and Bishal Shrestha have already been unveiled as marquee players for Dhangadhi, Butwal, and Chitwan, respectively. The NSL auction is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on Saturday.
