Kathmandu – Jawalakhel Youth Club has surged to the top of the points table by defeating Satdobato Youth Club 2-1 in an ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League at ANFA Complex on Tuesday.
In the closely contested match, Fode Fofana of Jawalakhel opened the scoring just before halftime. He converted a spot-kick in the 43rd minute, giving his team a lead.
Jawalakhel’s foreign recruit Nkoto Synous Masoabi then extended their lead five minutes after the interval. However, Dipak Raj Singh Thakuri of Satdobato pulled one back for his team, which was not enough for Satdobato.
With this victory, Jawalakhel has taken the lead in the points table with 13 points, leaving Satdobato at third position with 12 points.
