Kathmandu – The Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League 2022 Champions, Church Boys United Football Club, made a victorious debut in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League, defeating the four-time top-flight champions Nepal Police Club by a score of 2-1 at Chyasal Stadium.
After trailing by a goal from Rabi Shankar Paswan’s 14th-minute strike, Church Boys rallied and scored twice to secure the win.
Ashish Chaudhary scored in the third minute of injury time to level the match at the break. Moreover, Franklin Kuete Talla scored the decisive goal through the spot kick in the 70th minute, giving Church Boys three points in their first top-tier match.
