Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have announced a 22-member preliminary squad for the Quadrangular Series to be held in Hong Kong next week. The series will be held from November 15 to 19 in Hong Kong. Nepal, Hong Kong, UAE and Malaysia will compete in the series. Young Bagmati Province pacer Soni Pakhrin, who has made a good impact in the domestic circuit has been called up for the closed camp. The rest of the names are fairly regular. Similarly, Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar are set to compete in the Women's All Stars T20 series, the domestic T20 tournament in Hong Kong. That tournament will commence from November 10. Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Oman defeated Nepal on super over to lift the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Region Finals in Kathmandu. Nepal, who required 22 runs in the super over, could only score 10 runs and conceded the final to Oman. Oman's ace pace Bilal Khan dismissed Kushal Bhurtel in the very first ball of the super over. Kushal Malla couldn't score any runs in the second delivery and took a single in the third. Gulshan Jha took another single in the fourth and the match went away from Nepal. Kushal Malla scored two boundaries in the final two deliveries but it was too late. On the other hand, Abinash Bohora conceded 21 runs in the super over with three sixes hit by Naseem Khushi. Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Nepal have qualified for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Nepal booked their place for the global T20 spectacle in the Caribbean and the USA by qualifying for the final of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Region final in Kathmandu.  Nepal defeated their rivals UAE by eight wickets in the semifinals. Chasing a target of 135 runs, Nepal got to the total in 17.1 overs at the loss of just two wickets.  Opener Aasif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 63 off 50 deliveries with six fours and two sixes to his name. Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - A five-run loss against Oman has restricted Nepal to a second-place finish in Group A of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Region Finals. Nepal, in their final Group A matchup, suffered a loss at the hands of Oman and qualify for the semifinal, finishing behind Oman in the group. Chasing a target of 146 runs in 20 overs, Nepal lost all ten wickets in 20 overs and made 140 runs.  Nepal, after a faltering start needed their tail to finish the match.
