JYC defeated neighbours Satdobato Youth Club 2-0 on Monday to climb to the ninth position in the league with 7 points. Bipin Kandel and Nicholas Fernandes were on  target for JYC during Monday’s match. Both the goals were scored in the second half. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - APF Football Club and New Road Team (NRT) shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller during the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League match on Friday. The two teams played a 3-3 draw in the first match of the sixth round. Ashish Lama, Captain Navin Lama and Dipesh Dhimal were on target for APF. Similarly, Darshan Gurung scored two goals for NRT while Mesuke Olumoi added another goal for the club. Darshan Gurung gave NRT the lead by scoring in the 32nd minute. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba handed over cash prize of Rs 500,000 to each of the 23 members of the team amid a function organized at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday. Three coaches of the team were given Rs 300,000 each. Nepal had lost to India 3-0 in the final of the SAFF Championship held in the Maldives in October. Kuriyama has become the first foreign player to play for a departmental team of Nepal. This is the first time that APF have signed a foreign footballer after acquiring AFC Club license.
