UEFA moves Champions League final from St Petersburg to Paris

Agencies UEFA has moved this year's Champions League final from St Petersburg to Paris in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Reuters reported referring to a statement issued by European soccer's governing body on Friday. According to the news agency, UEFA also said the home games of Ukrainian and Russian clubs and national teams competing in UEFA competitions would be played at neutral venues "until further notice". The governing body thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for his "personal support and commitment" in taking on the final. Two clubs led by former national team captains relegated

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Two football clubs led by former captains of the national football team of Nepal have been relegated from the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League. The two Lalitpur-based clubs led by former captain Anil Gurung and Biraj Maharjan have been relegated from the top-flight league. Anil Gurung is the captain of Brigade Boys Club (BBC) while Biraj Maharjan is the skipper of Chyasal Youth Club. Both the clubs have been relegated with one match remaining. BBC were relegated after being defeated by new entrant Satdobato Youth Club  3-2 on Monday.
