Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) –

Nepal National Football Team forward, Bimal Gharti Magar, has relocated to Australia, signaling a temporary hiatus from national team duties. Bimal, a product of ANFA Academy, debuted in 2012 in a friendly match against Bangladesh and represented Machhindra Club in the latest season of the Martyr’s Memorial A Division League.

Under Bimal’s captaincy, Nepal clinched their first U-19 SAFF Championship title in 2015, defeating India. He has notably made 43 appearances for Nepal, scoring nine goals, with ten goals in the previous two league seasons.

Bimal, highly regarded since his early days at ANFA Academy, gained nationwide attention with his first international goal against Pakistan in the 2013 SAFF Championship. Despite recovering from a serious knee injury, he made a successful international comeback in early 2022.

Bimal recently got married to his longtime girlfriend and is now set to embark on a new journey in Australia.

In the past two years, more than 50 football players, including several national team regulars, have migrated to Australia in pursuit of a promising future.
