According to rumors, Sergio Aguero’s agents have arrived in Barcelona to launch talks over a potential transfer during the summer transfer window.
From July 1, Aguero will be free to join whoever he wishes, and he has already got some offers as it seems. Since joining Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011, Aguero has established himself as one of the greatest players in City’s history and Premier League history itself.
Following Luis Suarez’s departure last summer, the Blaugrana decided not to sign anyone as his replacement. Ronald Koeman is now left with only Martin Braithwaite, Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi as central choices. According to the rumors Barcelona is the club Aguero fancies too.
One of the reasons he wants to transfer to the Camp Nou is to play alongside Lionel Messi, his international teammate and close friend. Signing Aguero might also be a useful negotiating chip for Barcelona in retaining the new Barcelona captain.
Aguero has been already contacted by top European clubs like Juventus and Chelsea. Now, however, it seems that Barcelona has taken a significant step toward acquiring Aguero’s services this summer, having started talks with his representatives.
