APF thrashes Army in departmental derby

Kathmandu – APF Football Club thrashed Tribhuvan Army Football Club 3-0 in a departmental derby at Dasarath Stadium on Wednesday, with goals from Armand Beadoum, Awas Lamichhane, and Nabin Lama.

Armand opened APF’s account in the 41st minute, putting them ahead with a well-placed shot. In the second half, Awas doubled their lead in the 56th minute, scoring with a powerful shot that left the Army goalkeeper stranded.

Nabin Lama then sealed the victory for APF in the 61st minute with a fantastic individual goal, dribbling past four Army defenders before beating the goalkeeper, Bikesh Kuthu, with a clinical finish.

The win was a much-needed relief for APF, who moved up to 6th position in the league table, having collected 22 points from 16 matches. Meanwhile, Army dropped to 7th position with 21 points from an equal number of matches.
