Kathmandu – Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club secured an easy straight-set victory over Dawali Milan Club in the inaugural match of the 7th PM Cup NVA Women’s and Men’s National Volleyball Club League.

APF exhibited their dominance throughout the match, triumphing over Dawali Milan with a commanding scoreline of 25-22, 25-13, and 25-23.
The NVA Club League began on Saturday with a women’s section match between Nepal Police Club and Gandaki Province. The departmental side, Nepal Police Club, demonstrated their prowess by overpowering the provincial team, securing a straight-set triumph.
Police Club delivered a crushing blow to Gandaki Province, outscoring them 25-10 in both the first and second sets. Nepal National Women’s Team Skipper Aruna Shahi’s side then faced a significant setback in the third set, as Police Club continued their dominance with a 25-11 victory, marking Gandaki’s first defeat in the tournament.

In the men’s section, Tribhuvan Army Club commenced their campaign on a victorious note by defeating Shailung Bagdhunga in a one-sided contest. The defending champions showcased their strength, limiting Shailung Bagdhunga to mere scores of 8, 13, and 17 in the three sets.

Later, Nepal Police Club came on top in a thrilling encounter against Gandaki Province. Gandaki Province, despite losing the first two sets, rallied back to secure victories in the subsequent two sets. However, their momentum waned in the decisive fifth set, leading to their eventual defeat.
Police Club secured the first two sets with scores of 25-21 and 25-16. Gandaki Province showed resilience by winning the third and fourth sets with scores of 13-25 and 24-26 respectively.
However, Gandaki Province struggled to maintain their energy in the final set, succumbing to a 15-10 defeat against the Police Men.
