WUMA Kung-fu team to compete in European Championship

Kathmandu – A three member Nepali kung-fu team including two players is all set to participate in the World Unified Martial Arts (WUMA) European Championship which will kick off in England on May 15.

The championship will feature competition in various martial arts disciplines. The two players representing Nepal are Sanjay Raj Putuwar and Bhupendra Gurung.

Nepal WUMA Kung-fu Association’s President Siddhartha Lama is also in the team and will take the role of an official as well as a judge during the championship.

Bhupendra Gurung is scheduled to leave for England on Friday while the rest of the team will take off on Saturday.

The team was bade farewell by officials of Nepal WUMA Kung-fu Association amid a function at Basundhara on Thursday.
