The Nepal U20 National Football Team jetted off toward Bahrain on Thursday to compete in the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bade farewell to the Nepali Youth team on Wednesday.
Head coach Meghraj KC has not made any changes in the goalkeepers that played in the SAFF U20 Championship last month. However, KC included Syanshu Bhusal, Jan Tamli, and Raj Thokar in the defense keeping Ayush Shrestha, Roshan Thapa, and Sonit Dahal out of the team.
While Midfielder Mohit Gurung is excluded from the team, Rakesh Bishwakarma has booked his spot in the team. Forward Dipesh Rai is out of the team. Nepal is drawn in Group B alongside Qatar, Bahrain, Bhutan, and Bangladesh in U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers. The group stage matches will be held from September 10 to 18.
