Kathmandu – Sports fraternity of Nepal paid their last respect to South Asian Games gold medalist Sanju Chaudhary, who was found dead at her room in Lalitpur on Tuesday.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising draped her body with the national flag and offered flowers to the deceased Chaudhary. Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and other sports persons also paid their last respect to Chaudhary.
Nepal Weightlifting Association informed that Chaudhary’s body will be sent to her home in Aadarsha Tole of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality in Banke today itself. Her last rights will be performed in her village.

Chaudhary, who was gearing up for the 19th Asian Games, was found dead at the house of weightlifting coach Sanjay Maharjan Tuesday morning. Police suspect she committed suicide as her room was locked from inside.
She had secured gold medal for Nepal during the 13th South Asian Games.
