Kathmandu – Two Nepali footballers and two sports journalists have been felicitated in the USA. Footballer Navyug Shrestha and Bharat Khawas along with sports journalist Roshan Bahadur Singh and photo journalist Kaushal Adhikari were honoured by District 8 of Baltimore County of the USA.
They were felicitated after the NAC football match in Baltimore, USA. All four were honoured by District 8 delegate Harry Bhandari.
The letter of appreciation received by the four Nepalis were also signed by Joseph Botler and Karl Jackson. Singh was honoured for his contribution to sports journalism in Nepal while Adhikari was felicitated for his contribution to photo journalism.
Bhandari said that all four were honoured for their immense contribution to the Nepali sports sector. Prior to this, Shrestha, Khawas, Singh and Adhikari were also honoured by Baltimore’s District 10 delegate.
Shrestha had led the Nepali national team during the recently held Asian Cup qualifiers in Kuwait. Shrestha and Khawas had participated in the NAC Cup Football in the USA representing LA Gurans Club.
