The reigning champions France outplayed the “Giant Killers” Morocco 2-0 on Thursday to set the final showdown of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 against Argentina.
On Wednesday, Argentina netted 3 past Croatia to limit the 2018’s runners-up journey only to the semis of 2022 and confirmed its spot in the finale of the 22nd edition of the most prestigious football tournament.
The spectators at the Lusail Stadium will witness the heavy-weight clash between France and Argentina on 18th December 2022. The match will kick off at 8:45 PM NST. While France will be hoping to defend the title, Argentina will step into the field to clinch the title for the first time in 36 years.
However, by winning the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, France could mark itself as the third country to win back-to-back World Cup titles for the first time in 60 years. Earlier Italy (1934, 1938) and Brazil (1958, 1962) won the World Cup consecutively.
Moreover, the Argentinan star Lionel Messi has announced that the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be his last World Cup Match.
