Madrid (Agency) – After sending James Rodrigues on loan to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid has decided to give their number 10 jersey to another midfielder. Luka Modric will be wearing the prestigious number 10 jersey after Bayern Munich agreed on a 2-year loan deal with James Rodriguez.
Modric, who wore the number 19 jersey for Real Madrid, wears the number 10 jersey for his national team Croatia. Rodriguez had received the number after Mesut Ozil had departed for Arsenal. Real Madrid has given the number 24 jersey to 20-year old Daniel Ceballos who arrived from Real Betis.
Similarly, Pepe’s number 3 jersey will be worn by defender Jesus Vallejo. Rodriguez had departed to Munich after not getting sufficient playing time with Real Madrid. He was bought from AS Monaco in 201nat4.
