On the eve of the euro 2022, Big news came from the Spain squad as their captain Alexia Putellas suffered an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injury.
Spain’s football federation confirms that she was injured during the Tuesday training session and will not be able to compete in this tournament. She has won best footballer of the year, Ballon d’Or, and was a top goal scorer last season champion league with 11 goals.
Also, she scored 18 goals for Barcelona in Primera Division. Recently, she had her 100th appearance for Spain’s senior team with 27 carrier goals.
Spain is one of the favorites to win this competition and out of leader on the eve might affect them a lot.
