Pakistan ends SAFF Championship with a victory

Kathmandu – Pakistan, who participated in the international tournament for the first time in 8 years ended its SAFF Championship campaign with a huge margin victory.

Pakistan lost its first two group-stage matches with India and Bangladesh by 3-0 and 6-0. However, it managed to win its final group stage match by a huge margin of 7-0 over Maldives.

Nadia Khan scored 4 whereas Rameen Fareed, Khadija Kazmi, and Anmool Hira scored a piece in Pakistan’s victory. Pakistan went into the dressing room with a goal lead in the break and came back to add 6 more.

Pakistan takes a lead through Rameen in the 39th minute. Khadija Kazmi doubled the lead in the 49th minute.

Nadia consecutively scored in the 54th, 78th, 84th, and 90th minute. She completed her first hat trick of the championship in the 84th minute.

Anmool Hira scored in the injury time (90+5) to give Pakistan a 7-0 lead. 4-goal scorer Nadia Khan was named the Player of The Match.
