NVA bids farewell to U23 team

Kathmandu – The Nepal Volleyball Association on Sunday bade farewell to the Nepal U23 Volleyball team competing in CAVA U23 Volleyball Championship and the male & female teams participating in Beach Volleyball Championship.

The U23 Volleyball squad will jet off toward Bangladesh on Monday. Moreover, players competing in beach volleyball will head the following week. Nepal Sports Council (NSC) Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, NVA President Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Past President Manoranjan Raman Sharma, NSC Member Janak Bartaula, Chandra Bandana Rai, and Anjan Dhamala bade farwell to the travlling team.

Nepal will begin their CAVA U23 Championship facing hosts at 3:45 PM NST on December 20. Similarly, Kyrgyzstan will take on Sri Lanka in the second match of the same day.

Every participating team will directly qualify for the semis in a championship participated by four nations. However, The group stage matches will be utilized as practice sessions.

The semi-final will kick off on 25th December and the championship final will be held on 26th December. Jagadish Bhatta will lead Nepal’s U23 squad to its maiden international tournament.
