Nepali cricket team reach USA

Kathmandu – Nepali national cricket team reached Houston on Sunday ahead of a triangular series against the USA and Oman under the ICC World Cup League 2.

A 22-member team that left Nepal on Saturday reached the George Bush Airport in the USA on Sunday. Upon reaching Houston, the team took rest and then celebrated the birthday parties of batsman Dev Khanal and physiotherapist Bikram Neupane.

The team will take part in light practice on Tuesday followed by a full practice on Wednesday.

Nepal will play two matches in Houston before it competes in the League 2. The first practice match is against Nepal All Stars featuring former players of Nepal and international players and the second match is against Houston Hurricanes.

The first practice match is on June 2 and the second on June 4. All the matches of League 2 will be held at Musa Stadium.

Prithu Baskota (Captain), Kory Anderson (Vice Captain), Basant Regmi, Andruiz Gaus, Hamrit Singh, Mohammad Ilyas, Nitish Kumar, Shadly Van Shalvik, Smith Patel, Uday Kaul, Kanishka Chaugai, Gaurav Bajaj, Aadil Bhati, Rehman Dar and Bipul Sharma.
