Kathmandu – Nepali boxers Minu Gurung and Chandrakala Thapa crashed out of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship on Thursday after losing their respective bouts in Istanbul.
Gurung lost her match against Japan’s Rinka Kinosita in the flyweight (50 to 53 kg) category on the basis of points.
Similarly, Thapa lost her match against Indian player Manisha in the 54 to 57 kg weight category. Manisha had reached the quarterfinal of AIBA World Boxing Championship held in Indian in 2018.
