Nepal Police Club win volleyball matches

Kathmandu – Both men’s and women’s teams of Nepal Police Club won their respective matches during the Sixth RBB NVA National Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Club League 2079 on Wednesday.

Police defeated Butwal-based Everest Volleyball Club in straight sets of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-14 in the women’s section, while the men’s team saw off Gandaki Province 25-23, 25-16, 32-30.

In another match of the women’s category, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated New Diamond Club 25-16, 25-12 and 25-12.

Police have collected 6 points from two matches while Army have 6 points from three matches. Likewise, Nepal APF Club have 3 points followed by Everest with 2 points and New Diamond with 1 point. New Diamond’s star player Pratibha Mali is absent during this tournament with a knee injury.

In the men’s section, Tip Top Help Nepal Sports Club defeated APF 3-1. Tip Top bounced back from the third set defeat to register a 25-22, 25-19, 28-30 and 25-23 win over APF.

Police have gained 9 points in the men’s section while Army have 9 points followed by Tip Top (8 points), Gandaki Province (4 points), APF (3 points) and Galkot (0 point).
