Nepal Police Club Seals First Victory of the Season Against Friends Club

Kathmandu – Nepal Police Club (NPC) sealed their first victory of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League 2023 with a 3-1 victory against Friends Club on Monday at ANFA Complex.

The match was a slow start in the first half, but the second half proved to be full of excitement. NPC, who introduced foreign players for the first time in its footballing history, took the lead through its new foreign recruit Moses Gyabaah Twum.

Twum gave NPC a lead in the 51st minute before Buddha Bal Tamang doubled their lead just seven minutes later.

Torric Jebrin pulled one back for Friends Club in the 87th minute. Buddha Bal Tamang then scored his second individual goal in the 90th minute, ensuring his team’s first win of the season.

This victory pushed Nepal Police Club a step forward from the bottom of the table, with 4 points from 7 matches. On the other hand, Friends Club fell to the bottom of the table after this loss.
