Nepal recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Bhutan to move closer to the SAFF U15 Women’s Championship title.
Senu Pariyar scored the match’s only goal in the 49th minute at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal Stadium in Bangladesh. A share of spoil in the last game against Bangladesh will be enough for Nepal to clinch the title following 3 consecutive wins.
With a win, Nepal tops the points table of the double round-robin-based championship participated by 3 nations with 9 points. Bangladesh stands behind Nepal in the second position with 6 points. Bhutan is yet to earn any points.
Nepal will now face hosts Bangladesh for the second time on November 11. The team bagging the highest points will be crowned champions.
