Kathmandu – The Nepal National Volleyball Team is ready to begin their CAVA Men’s Volleyball Nations League campaign as they face Mongolia in their opening match today. The match will commence at 1:45 PM NST at the Cholpon ATA Covered Hall in Bishkek.
Nepal aims to start the tournament on a winning note by defeating Mongolia. The team will be led by their new captain, Hari Hajur Thapa, who aims to inspire his teammates to a successful start.
Bhim Bahadur Gaha is set to mark his debut in the national team as he is the only libero in the squad, while there is also a possibility that Safal BK and Hemant Bahadur Malla will earn their first caps in the national team.
The championship will follow a round-robin league format, providing an opportunity for Nepal to compete against various nations. After their match against Mongolia, Nepal will face Kyrgyzstan on Monday, followed by clashes against Iran on Tuesday and Turkmenistan on Thursday. They will then go head-to-head with the hosts, Kyrgyzstan, on Friday, before concluding the round-robin stage with a match against Uzbekistan on Sunday.
Jagdish Prasad Bhatt serves as the head coach of the team, with Bharat Yadav providing valuable assistance as the assistant coach. Shyam Shrestha assumes the role of team manager.
