Nepal ends its AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers journey with a defeat. Bangladesh beats 9-men Nepal by 3-0 in a final clash of the qualifiers.

Bangladesh took an early lead in the 3rd minute. Mojibor Jony utilized Nepal’s weak defensive third to open an account. Bangladesh doubled its lead in the 10th minute. Md Piyash Nova converted utilizing Nepal’s weak defensive zone again.
Hasan Nijum added third to the goal tally in the 52nd minute. Nijum headed the ball home following Nova’s cross from the edge of the box.
Nepal went down to 10 men in the 26th minute. Defender Ajay Chaudhary was sent off by Referee Isha Darwish as he hit a Bangladeshi player with an elbow.
Nepal was reduced to 9 men in the 35th minute. Skipper Ayush Ghalan was booked with a red as he expressed his frustration by showing a Middle Finger to the opponent. Bangladeshi Azizul Hoque Ananto made fun of Ghalan while shaking the hands and in return, Ghalan showed Ananto his middle finger. The referee then forced him to leave the field.
Ananto, who was booked with yellow a few seconds prior to the incident was booked with second yellow which sent him off the field as well.
With this loss, Nepal concludes its AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers with zero points in the bag. Nepal, who were drawn in Group B alongside Qatar, Bahrain, Bangladesh, and Bhutan suffered a shameful defeat against Bhutan in the opener. Nepal began the qualifiers suffering a 2-0 defeat. Nepal lost to Qatar by 3-1 in its second outing and got trashed by Bahrain with a heavy margin of 6-0 in the third. Nepal ended its qualifiers journey facing a 3-0 defeat against Bangladesh this evening.
