Nepal Crash Out Of U-19 Women’s SAFF Championship

Nepal’s journey in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship came to an end following a defeat to India in the crucial third match of the league stage. Nepal suffered a 4-0 loss against India, which confirmed their elimination from the league stage.

India took control of the game with Neha’s goal in the 54th minute, followed by a second goal from her in the 80th minute. Sulanjana Raul added a third goal in the 85th minute, with Cindy Colney securing India’s victory with a fourth goal in injury time.

India’s win ensures their spot in the final against Bangladesh, who maintained a perfect record by winning all three of their league matches. Bangladesh secured their final berth with wins over Nepal (3-1), India (1-0), and Bhutan (4-0) in their respective matches.

In the league stage, India collected 6 points from 3 matches, while Nepal ended with 3 points. Nepal’s solitary victory came in a 1-0 win against Bhutan, who failed to secure any points in their three matches.

India started the tournament with a dominant 10-0 win over Bhutan but suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Bangladesh in their second match.
