Manchester United are have now put one foot on the semi-final of the Europa League as they beat Granada 2-0 away from home. Thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United have 2 important away goals with them ahead of the second leg.
Game was dull all 90 minutes generally and Man Utd looked threatening the whole game in between the two. Rashford’s goal in the 31st minute was the game’s high point. Victor Lindelof strode out of defense and his long ball accurately weighted into the hands of the England striker. Rashford then managed well before coolly finishing to bring United ahead.
Granada tried to find a way back into the tie, with Kenedy as he tried a long shot. Yangel Herrera tested De Gea but he struck the post with a volley. Fernandes was denied a second goal late in the second half by a close-range save by Rui Silva. However, he scored a stoppage-time penalty after being felled by substitute Yan Brice Eteki.
